Veterans Celebration
Thursday, Nov. 6 | 9-11 a.m.
Diamond Bar Center | 1600 Grand Ave.
A special award ceremony, patriotic musical
performances, and giveaways will be part of this
annual celebration that recognizes and pays
tribute to U.S. military servicemen and women.
Also, as part of the event, participants of the City’s
Armed Forces Banner program who are no longer
actively deployed will receive their personalized
street pole banner as a keepsake. All veterans and
their family members and friends are encouraged
to attend. If you or someone you know is a veteran
who has not been honored by the Diamond Bar
City Council, let the City know by calling

Halloween Party
Saturday, Oct. 25 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Designed for families with young
children and dogs, this scare-free
Halloween celebration features
fun games, activities, photo stations
and costume contests for both people
and pets. Additionally, dozens of vendor
stations will offer trick-or-treating opportunities while showcasing pet-related
products and services.
Free Goodie Bag Registration
While supplies last, children ages 2-8 can receive a free goodie bag
with advance registration. Only 800 bags are available. Registration runs
Monday, Sept. 29, through Friday, Oct. 17 online at
www.diamondbarca.gov/recregister using Activity Code 2878.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest
A fun pumpkin decorating contest will again add
to the festivities offered at the Halloween Party.
The contest is open to all ages, and entries will be
judged in two categories – Best Decorated and
Best Carved. Participants may use paint, glitter,
carving tools or sculpting techniques to create their entries; designs must be
family-friendly. In order to be part of the contest, entries must be turned into
staff at the event between
8:30 and 9 a.m.

Thousands of festive lights will once
again illuminate the historic 30-foot
Diamond Bar windmill for the holiday
season. The fun kicks off with free
drinks and refreshments, and carolers,
and culminates with the switching on
of the windmill lights. Additionally, the
Diamond Bar Sheriff’s team will be
collecting new, unwrapped toys and
gift cards for children ages newborn
to 14 as part of its annual
Pack-A-Patrol Car toy drive.
This kid-friendly event features three snow hills, a snow
play area, a children’s crafts area, games, food, and
information booths, and a new craft fair! The highlight
will come at 10 a.m. as City Council welcomes
everyone to the event and announces the arrival of
“Flurry,” the sledding penguin! Children are encouraged to
wear gloves and closed-toe shoes. Waivers are required for sledding.
Admission is free, but there is a nominal fee to participate in sledding and game and craft
activities - $10 for an unlimited sledding wristband, and $1 per activity card (good for four
games or crafts). Only 800 sledding wristbands will be sold.

Sales will take place in person at the Diamond Bar Center, 1600 Grand Ave., or online at
www.diamondbarca.gov/recregister using Activity Code 3877 for sledding wristbands
and Activity Code 3878 for activity cards. Purchased activity cards and wristbands
will be available for pick up at the event. All sales are 昀椀nal.
